The Jiaobei Police Station of the Jiaozhou Public Security Bureau has conducted in-depth outreach campaigns at enterprises to combat online rumors.
To further purify the online environment and enhance the digital literacy and legal awareness of the public, particularly corporate employees, the Jiaobei Police Station of the Jiaozhou Public Security Bureau, in response to the call, dispatched a dedicated team to Yiqing Packaging on the afternoon of August 9, where they successfully organized an educational outreach event themed “Say No to Online Rumors and Cyberbullying; Work Together to Build a Clean and Healthy Cyberspace.”
On the day of the event, officers and auxiliary police from the Jiaobei Police Station, driven by a strong sense of responsibility and mission, went directly to workplaces and, through a series of engaging and practical methods, educated employees on the realities of online misinformation. At the scene, eye‑catching banners hung prominently, clearly conveying the core principle: “Do not create, spread, or believe rumors.” The officers provided clear, accessible explanations on topics such as the origins of online rumors, their potential harms, their typical characteristics, the importance of debunking false information, and the relevant laws and regulations. Together, they called for rejecting online rumors and cyberbullying, and for working collaboratively to build a clean and healthy cyberspace.
In addition, the event underscored the critical importance of protecting personal information. Police officers and auxiliary police officers urged company employees to strengthen their awareness of self‑protection, handle personal data with care, and avoid becoming either victims or disseminators of online misinformation.
Through this publicity campaign, the online literacy and legal awareness of enterprise employees have been significantly enhanced. Participants unanimously pledged to start with themselves, resolutely reject online rumors, and work together to safeguard a clean and wholesome cyberspace. This initiative by the Jiaobei Police Station has not only provided enterprise staff with much‑needed legal knowledge but has also made an important contribution to fostering a new culture of online civility. Let us say no to online rumors and cyberbullying, and join hands to build a clear and healthy digital environment.
